Silo extraction

Since 1985 GB Silo System AG has been specializing in the production of silo extraction mills.

The silo mill stands out on the one hand due to its very good flow rate, and on the other hand due to its long lifespan and ease of use. The worm mill in corn is particularly ideal for summer feeding, as it ensures the feed is carried off evenly.

With the electronic advance control, it is possible to encourage grass silage which was filled using a forage wagon. The special crawler track with welded stainless steel blades (now also available with Busati blades) provides an even flow of feed.

The most important parts, such as the feed screw and screw channel, are made from high-grade stainless steel. When filling your silo with damp corn (CCM), our mills are ideal for use.

The Silohaake empties silo containers in accordance with a worldwide patented high-pressure rinsing process.

Due to continuous development, the Silohaake has become one of the most reliable and cost-effective extraction processes. The silo goods are loosened with a liquid cutting jet and then washed out of the silo. Multiple cutting jet devices may be attached to a single metering station. Automatic feed preparation from multiple silos is possible without difficulty. The Silohaake system is based on a high-pressure rinsing process for trouble-free extraction of damp grain, ground and unground CCM, and other silo components.
Silohaake replaces all existing extraction techniques and can be installed at any time.
With this extraction system the silo content is conveyed out of the bottom of the silo with a dosing screw. A photocell in the silo registers when bridges form in the silage, and activates a compressed air pump which fires a jet of water at 10 to 15 bar against the feed in order to cut it free. During extraction a second liquid stream circulates from the mixing tank to the silo center. It serves as a transport liquid, in which the corn kernels are pushed through a siphon to the hammer mill. The siphon is sealed and holds back foreign bodies. The kernels are ground through a 3mm sieve into meal and then pumped into the premix tank. The extraction device is completely airtight, and not susceptible to interference. There is no mechanism in the silo that cannot be accessed quickly in an emergency.
